Webinar 9 June: Participatory Processes in the Post-Pandemic City

How can city officials and planners maintain the participative aspects of city planning when we can’t even meet face to face? What do we need to consider in the transition to digital and hybrid digital-live participatory formats? And what municipal structures are relevant for these formats to flourish?

I’ll be addressing these questions next week in the online lecture series “Planning the Post-Pandemic City,” hosted by Queens University Belfast. This talk will examine how cities can maintain and adapt participative structures during and after the COVID-19 lockdowns to ensure inclusive and equitable access to city planning decision-making. It will draw on case studies from the EU as well as current engagement work in Belfast.

The talk will take place on June 9th at 16:00 CEST (15:00 GMT). Register here for free.
