Looking back: The European Cultural Foundation’s Citizens’ Dialogue ‘Peace through Culture’

I had some amazing discussions at the European Cultural Foundation’s Citizens’ Dialogue ‘Peace through Culture’ on May 10th. The take-home messages that stick out most in my mind: who gets to decide what European or national identity is (and thus who gets to be on the offering end of inclusion) and the concept of hybrid or plural identity as a reality (that doesn’t fit into our national-identity binaries) in our globalized and globalizing world.

I was really honored to be part of this event and am looking forward to incorporating the impulses that I got into my future work!
